Someone on your team knows the way.

The help board for your company.

Anyone with a question posts it where everyone can see it. Anyone who has solved something similar offers to help. The question stays open until it is solved, and afterwards remains findable in the archive with the note on the solution.

  • 30 days free, no credit card
  • One price for the whole company, from €99 a month (founding price, instead of €129)

“Who has prepared a project sign-off for this customer before?”

“I was involved in the last project.”

I have the checklist and know the people involved. Let’s go through the handover together.

Help offered

Experience from the last project helps with the next one.

Fictional example from a building services company.

Your way in,
depending on who is asking.

Management decides, HR rolls it out, IT and the works council review it. Each role finds the answers it needs here.

Looks like you.
Belongs to you.

With your logo, your colours and a matching typeface, Knowhand becomes a shared place that belongs to your company. Try it with an example company.

  • A board name your team recognises
  • Your colours, surfaces and shapes
  • Four type combinations to suit your company

You shouldn’t have to know
who to ask first.

The experience you need may be in another department, at another site or with someone you haven’t met. Knowhand makes your question visible across those boundaries.

  1. 1

    Ask a concrete question.

What’s holding you up, which experience is missing and when do you need help? A clear question makes helping easy.

  2. 2

    Reach the right people.

People with matching topics in their profile get the question. Colleagues offer help or point to someone who knows.

  3. 3

Solve it together and keep it.

Work through the question together and mark it as solved. Solved requests stay findable in the archive with the note on the solution.

Ask a concrete question.

Title, short description, category, effort and a deadline. Templates help with the first request. People with matching topics in their profile get it.

Whoever knows offers to help.

With “I can help” and a short note. Anyone who can't help themselves points to someone who could. The person asking sees every offer in one place.

Solved, and easy to find later.

The person asking marks the request as solved and can say thank you. Solved requests stay findable in the archive with the note on the solution, and anyone asking the same thing later sees them suggested while typing.

Step 1 of 4: Ask

Every company
has these questions.

For companies big enough for the grapevine to fail and small enough that nobody starts a knowledge management project.

A service technician and an installer go through a checklist on a tablet in front of a heat pump.

Connect experience across departments.

What the service team already knows can save the installation team work. Make that experience accessible across teams.

From installation
“Who in service knows the most common questions during commissioning?”
A colleague shows a new team member in the sales office how complaints are handled on a laptop.

Get new people up to speed.

New colleagues don’t yet know who does what. A visible place for questions leads straight to the right people.

Sales office, first week
“Who can show me how we process customer complaints in our system?”
Two production colleagues go through open points at a machine during shift handover.

Build on what already works.

A useful template or a solved special case shouldn’t have to be recreated in every team. Ask for experience from previous work.

Voices from the test phase

First feedback from six companies.

Before Knowhand went public, six companies from the founder's network tested the concept and an early prototype internally. Their feedback is why we are confident Knowhand holds up in everyday work.

  • Our service team often knows exactly what engineering is looking for. You just have to figure out whom to ask. In the test, someone who already knew the problem spoke up. That is exactly what we need.
    Special machinery
  • At shift change, a question often gets left behind. We liked that it was still open the next morning. Otherwise the next shift starts from zero again.
    Food production
  • We had that special case before. Nobody remembered on which project. Through the archive we found the question again, and the colleague who helped back then. That was useful.
    Architecture and planning
  • New people don't know anyone at first. When a specific product question comes up, they see on the board who knows about it. That makes starting a bit easier.
    Technical wholesale
  • Our people don't all sit in the same place. In the test it was handy to see right away by when someone needs help. The two then simply sorted it out on the phone. Works for us.
    Building services
  • We liked that nobody collects points for helping. People should help each other and not think about how it will look in some report later.
    Social sector

Why not just
a Teams channel?

The channel stays for quick conversations. For questions that need someone with experience, it lacks what matters most.

Fits your IT,
without new passwords.

Knowhand runs in the browser, next to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. No installation, no access to mailboxes, calendars or the directory.

Sign in with your work account.

With a link to your work email, including Microsoft 365 mailboxes, or with the company Google account. Knowhand has no passwords. With Google, your rules for multi-factor authentication and access still apply.

Next to Teams, not instead of it.

Teams and Outlook stay where they are. Knowhand gives the question a deadline and a close. You keep talking in Teams, on the phone or through the Outlook booking link.

Hosted in Frankfurt.

Hosting, database and files are in Frankfurt (EU), email goes through a sending service in the EU. The data processing agreement with all sub-processors is ready to download.

Only what the board needs.

No analytics or advertising cookies, no cookie banner. Knowhand stores what you enter on the board, plus what sign-in and email technically require.

Help without leaderboards
and without surveillance.

For HR and people teams: Knowhand shows who can help with what, and rates no one. Knowhand shows no one values per person, not even admins.

Privacy in detail
From the works council
“Is there an analysis of who helps how often?”

No. Numbers exist only for the whole board and only from ten members on. Each person’s thanks counter is visible only to them.

What Knowhand stores

What your people enter themselves: a profile with name, email address and optional details, requests, attachments, offers to help and the archive. All members of your board can see these. Plus what sign-in and email technically require.

Deletion periods

Removing a member or deleting an account: profile pseudonymised immediately. Deleting the board: 14 day notice. After the trial or cancellation: readable for 60 days, then deleted.

What doesn’t exist

  • No leaderboard, no points, no badges
  • No values per person in the interface, not even for admins
  • No last-online indicator, no per-person response times
  • No analysis of emails, chats or documents

What people ask before they start.

Another question? Write to us.
We already use Teams or Slack. Why do we need Knowhand?

For questions that need someone with experience. In a channel they slide down the feed; on the board they stay open until they’re solved, and stay findable afterwards. Have the conversation itself however you like: on the phone, in Teams or at the next desk.

How quickly will we get an answer with Knowhand?

That depends on the question and on your team. Knowhand shows the question to colleagues with matching topics and sends a reminder if nobody has offered help after 48 hours. We don’t promise a fixed response time. Use real questions during the trial to see how it works for you.

Can we use Knowhand under our own branding?

Yes. Set your logo, board name and welcome text, then choose your primary and secondary colours, type combination, surfaces, shapes and header. Preview the board and profile before saving. Knowhand remains subtly identifiable as the provider, while your company takes the lead.

Who can see our questions and profiles in Knowhand?

Your company’s members can access the board. It isn’t a public directory. Your admins manage access and membership.

What happens after the 30 free days of Knowhand?

You decide whether to subscribe. Without a subscription, the board becomes read-only after the trial. There’s no automatic charge and you don’t need a credit card to try it.

How do we find out whether Knowhand helps us?

Start with one department or a concrete topic. Invite the colleagues involved and ask questions you actually need help with. After the 30-day trial, review whether you found the right people and made use of existing experience.

Make the most of
what your team already knows.
