Create the board
Sign in with your work address, set logo and colour. Whoever creates the board is admin and sees a start plan on the board: brand, profile, first request, starter team.

Invite a starter team
Three to five people who like to ask and like to help. Under Invite you find ready-made texts with your invite link to copy.

Ask ten real questions
Questions that are genuinely open right now. On days 1, 3, 7 and 14 the admin gets an email with the current state and the next step, with an unsubscribe link.

Decide after 30 days
Solved requests show you whether it works. The email on day 14 lists members, real and solved requests. The trial ends by itself, nothing is charged.
Can we test Knowhand before the works agreement is in place?
That is for you to agree with your works council. Knowhand makes a small start easy: after creating the board, switch off automatic joining through the company domain under Admin › Members, so only people you invite get in. Invite three to five people. The AI assistant is off by default. Give the review pack and the model works agreement to the works council in advance.

Can a Teams channel not do the same as Knowhand?
No, a channel is for the conversation, and it stays for that. In a channel, Tuesday's question slides out of view; on the board it stays open until someone solves it, and then it goes to the archive. Knowhand runs next to Teams, not instead of it.
Will people actually use Knowhand?
The trial with real questions shows you. Start small: three to five people and ten real questions before you invite everyone. During the trial a start plan guides the admin, plus emails on days 1, 3, 7 and 14. Solved requests show you whether it works.
What does Knowhand really cost?
One price for the whole company, by size up to 100, 250 or 500 people: regularly 129 €, 299 € or 499 € per month billed yearly. The first 30 companies pay the founding price for 24 months: 99 €, 249 € or 449 €. The trial runs 30 days, with no credit card and no automatic charge.
Does Knowhand need works council approval?
If you have a works council, yes. In Germany, software that is merely capable of monitoring already requires co-determination. The template is ready: a model works agreement for Austria and Germany and usage rules for Switzerland.
What happens to our data if Knowhand stops one day?
It stays your data: admins can export everything as JSON and requests as CSV at any time. After the contract ends the board stays readable for 60 days, and you can export everything during that time. Price changes for existing customers are announced with twelve months of price protection. Knowhand is run by Paul Krügel in Vienna, without investors; he handles email support himself.
