Why Knowhand exists.
In every company the knowledge is already there, in many places. It just isn't visible. Knowhand makes it easy to reach: two people, directly connected.
Whatever job I am in: at some point word gets around the departments that I know my way around computers and IT. Then the questions come, and I am happy to help.
That is how it works in almost every company. The knowledge is there, only nobody knows where. Whoever wants to ask first has to find out whom.
That does not need a big, complicated tool or another module in a huge office suite. It needs a lean interface: affordable, fast, friendly and direct, so two people can simply connect.
Who is behind it
Paul Krügel has been an entrepreneur for many years. He has advised hundreds of startups, invested in companies, helped build them and founded his own. His focus: making complex technology something people are glad to use.
Today he builds his own products in Vienna, including FieldProFlow and Restklar. Knowhand is independent and without investors, hosted in the EU. His principle: when he does something, he does it for the long run.

Where the voices come from
Before the launch, six companies from the founder's personal network tried Knowhand: from special machinery, food production, architecture and planning, technical wholesale, building services and the social sector. They knew the concept and tested an early prototype internally.
The voices on the homepage are their feedback, quoted verbatim in German and translated; only punctuation was added. Nobody was paid, and at their request we do not name the companies. The voices are not a representative survey; they show why we are confident.
